Student Artwork, Ensworth School, Foundation Visual Arts, 2008-2011


Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Composition and Imagination Project: Students were to draw an object of their choice six different ways (most informative, surprising situation, enlargement, the object in the future, geometric, change the substance of the object) using an ebony pencil.







Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Camouflage Drawing Assignment: students created a drawing around a small clipping from a magazine using marker and ebony pencil on paper. They were to try to "camouflage" the clipping by matching the values and pattern. 14" x 11".

Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Bike Drawing Project: Students created a drawing of a bicycle in the art room - vine and compressed charcoal on a 18" x 24" sheet of paper.





Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Collage Project: Students created a collage project that answers the question: What protects us from harm?

Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Collaboration Project: Students worked in groups of four, five, or six to create a drawn version of a master artist's painting using cray pas.

Foundation Visual Arts (Grade 9)

Painting Project: Students created acrylic paintings on canvas board based on photographs that they took of rooms in their homes. Paintings are 11" x 14".
